The 40th Visual Communication Conference, June 17-21, 2026, will be held in Yachats (pronounced YAH-hots), Oregon at the Adobe Resort. The conference will begin on Wednesday evening, June 17th, with the expectation that attendees will stay through Saturday evening and fly/leave for home on Sunday, June 21st. This is a plenary conference with no concurrent presentations – attendees are expected to attend all the sessions.

This small coastal town—named after the Yachats River—sits where the Oregon Coast Range meets the Pacific. Visitors attending the conference will find a quiet, compact place that’s easy to navigate, whether staying at the Adobe Resort or nearby.

The coastline is always close, with access to walking paths and natural spots like Thor’s Well, the 804 Trail, and the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area. With its mix of small shops, galleries, and open scenery, Yachats offers a calm change of pace...perfect for the annual un-conference conference.
